Fleeces for Sale
All fleeces are clean, dry, skirted and lightly picked over. Minimal vegetable matter.
Fleeces are sold raw, unwashed
Our sheep were not dipped or treated with fly sprays etc prior to shearing.
Black Welsh Mountain fleeces are soft, and range in colour from jet black to browns and gingers.
Great for spinning or making peg look rugs. They also felt easily.
We have some fleeces which are suitable for wet felting into rugs - 'vegetarian sheepskins'
Fleeces are listed individually - there are plenty more to come!
P&P £4.50 per fleece
(will pack multiples together where possible to reduce this)

Fleece 2
Shearling fleece. Thick and soft.
Part felted - especially along the midline.
Neck wool is much looser but could be 'rearranged' with a little patience, if felting into a rug.
Also, of course suitable for peg loom/spinning etc.
1.8kg
£10
Fleece 3
Very gingery tipped fleece.
Perfect for a peg loom - pulling apart into those lovely long strips for weaving.
This fleece does hold it's shape well - could be felted into a rug, but it has a bit of VM in places (shown in photos) - this tends to fall out very nicely when pulling apart for peg looming.
Staple 8-9cm
Weight 1.5kg
£8
Fleece 12
The sides of this fleece are so thick, soft and bouncy!
The central area is thinner, with a small amount of scurf.
Could potentially remove the small midline section and felt the rest into a rug, as the whole fleece is very well held together.
Otherwise, plenty of lovely brown/black wool here for a peg loom or other felting project.
Staple length 10cm

Fleece 15
A smaller fleece, suitable for peg loom or smaller felting projects.
Well held together down the sides, but separating along midline, where there is also an area of scurf which may need removing.

Fleece 16
A nice, clean fleece with very little VM.
Black with bleached brown tips.
Holding shape well but is looser and splitting down the centre line.
Possibly more suitable for peg loom and spinning rather than felting into a rug?
Nice long staple: 10-11cm

Fleece 17 - Eddie the ram's fleece!
A lot of lovely wool to play with!
Eddie's fleece is holding it's shape very well, so would felt into a rug if wanted.
Alternatively, this fleece will still separate easily for other projects.
There are some areas with a little but of VM (from standing in straw barn before shearing)
Staple 9-10cm
Weight 1.9kg
£10 - SOLD-
Smaller Fleeces - Bargain Basement!
£5
Smaller or part fleeces, not individually catalogued.
Still good useable wool in these - either for smaller projects or as backing for a felted rug.
WE also have some fleeces with more VM in them, which would be most suitable for use in the garden as a mulch and slug deterrent.
Let me know what you want a bargain fleece for, and I'll send you a suitable one!
Weights from 1kg - 1.3kg
Fleece 5
Perfect for making a 'vegetarian sheepskin' - this fleece is already well felted along both sides.

Fleece 11
One of my favourites!
Add some lovely greys to your project with this fleece form one of my older ewes.
Dark brown base with greys, tans, and bleached browns on top.
Very little VM.
Has thinner area in middle, with small amount scurf - hence probably not for felting into a rug.
