Our bronze turkeys are a traditional, slow growing breed, renowned for their amazing flavour.
Our turkeys are raised to high welfare standards. During the day, they have freedom to roam over the fields, with places to roost, dust baths, and natural cover. At night they are protected in warm sheds with perches and straw bedding.
Their diet consists of a specially formulated turkey ration, as well as apples from our orchard. They supplement this by grazing and foraging in the fields. They particularly enjoy picking blackberries from the hedges!
All prepration is done here on the farm, meaning no stressful transport for our birds. We dry pluck by hand, then hang our turkeys for 7-10 days. This allows the flavour to fully develop, and results in moist, juicy meat. The fabulous taste of our turkeys has earned them a Great Taste 2-Star Award.
Our bronze turkeys cook much faster than a white bird, remaining moist and juicy. We will provide you with full cooking instructions, including calculated cooking times for your bird.

*The weight of our larger birds is a little unpredictable. All turkeys over 8kg are the same price. The actual weights will vary from 8kg to 11kg. When ordering a larger bird, please state your desired weight, and we will do our best to supply a turkey as close as possible to this.
Please note that, due to the nature of our product, we cannot guarantee exact weights. We will do our best to fulfill your order with a tukey as close to your chosen weight as possible. We will, of course, never ask you to pay more if we offer you a larger bird.
